Place a door in Edit mode, then tap it using the stylus to knock. Someone will knock back a certain number of times. Tap back, matching the number of knocks heard. After doing this a few times, a doorman will open the door.

Alternate hand pointer

Enter Edit mode and click either Analog-stick to display a box. Click the Left Analog-stick for a right hand and vice versa. Repeat to cycle through the available hands.

Alternate introduction sequence

Start the game on each day to see a different introduction sequence. Mario or other characters will do different things. For example, one day Mario will get squashed by a Thwomp. The next day Luigi will throw a Fire Flower at Mario.

Alternate reactions

Successfully complete the final level in 10 Mario Challenge or 100 Mario Challenge. When you meet up with Toad or Princess Peach, their response can vary depending on your costume. For example, Toad becomes stressed if he is rescued as Bowser. Toad greets you as 'Captain' if you are dressed as Toad.

Alternate end stage music in Super Mario World

You can change a stage's background music using the Bowser/Mushroom SFX tool. If you complete a stage in the Super Mario World theme while the Mushroom bonus stage alternate background music is playing, you will get the 'Bonus Stage Clear' music instead of the normal theme.
