I am desperately trying to find the driver/firmware download for my EMI 2/6m (latest should be version 2.1 I believe). I only have the V1.0 installer but can't find the download anymore that used to be on www.emagic.de/support. It's redirected to the Apple site now and the driver is not available on apple.com.
Does anyone still have the installer and can send it to me by email or is there a download anywhere where I can find it?
Thanks a lot for any help.

If your computer is currently functioning you can find the serial number by using a simple keyboard command. From your keyboard, press and hold the Ctrl+Alt+S buttons at the same time. An HP System Information pop-up box will appear on your screen with your serial number. Feb 04, 2006 Question: Q: Driver for Emagic EMI 2/6 or ESI A62 Hi all I am desperately trying to find the driver/firmware download for my EMI 2/6m (latest should be version 2.1 I believe). The EMI 2 6 Firmware Loader, as the name indicates, automatically loads the EMI 2 6 Firmware into the EMI 2 6 during startup of your computer. The firmware will be kept in the EMI 2 6 as long as it is connected and powered. Once the firmware is loaded, the EMI 2 6 is available under Mac OS X using Mac OS X’s built-in USB Audio Driver. The EMI 2 6 now supports the professional 24 Bit/96 kHz standard for optimal audio quality under Mac OS X. In addition, with buffer sizes down to 4 ms, extremely short latency can be reached under EASI, ASIO and Soundmanager with the new Mac-driver - a latency value previously thought impossible using USB.

If you install the drivers for an Emagic USB Interface on Snow Leopard, You will get the following message every time you start your computer, and won't be able to use it.'/Library/StartupItems/EmagicA26A62mFirmwareLoader” has not been started because it does not have the proper security settings.
But there is good news. It is possible to get it working.
First install the driver, it can be found here ftp://ftp.apple.com/emagic/A26_A62m.dmg
Next, you need to log out of your computer using the Apple menu (top left hand corner). then login using the user:root

If you don't know the password for the 'root' user you will need to reset the password. To do this, you will need to put your Snow Leopard Installer DVD into the computer and restart, hold the 'c' key while the computer starts. You will reach the screen where you choose the language, hit continue. From there, you will need to go to the utilities menu at the top and choose reset password. There you can reset the password for 'root' which is the system administrator account. restart the computer and login as 'Root'.Next you will need to open the Terminal application. It can be found in the Utilities folder which is in the Applications folder.

Next, delete the relevant preference pane in /Library/PreferencePanes/ – it’s a PPC pane so there’s no need to keep it hanging around. Finally reboot & watch it spring to life.I got the info from this site, so I'll give credit where credit is due.
