I have an amortization schedule arranged vertically in Excel on Sheet 1 that I want to reference horizontally in my income statement on Sheet 2. Is there a way to write and copy/paste a single formula that will accomplish this task? Yes, it is possible to reference vertical data using a single formula that can be copied horizontally.
- Re: Help Pls!Simple Copy Paste offset value Horizontally thanks, but value from A1-A6 changes, and i want to records of A1-A6 value, first at H1: H6, when A1-A6 changes new value, will be pasted on I1:I6 etc( keeping old value at H1:H6), up to AAA1:AAA6 or more.
- Mar 20, 2013 Step 1: Open your spreadsheet in Excel 2013. Step 2: Highlight the horizontal data that you want to paste into a vertical location. Step 3: Right-click the highlighted data, then select Copy. Step 4: Click in the top cell where you want the vertically pasted data to begin. Step 5: Click the Home tab at the top of the window.
Let’s say you have data in Excel that is currently laid out vertically:
1.2
2.3
3.4
5.6
and you want to change it to be laid out horizontally as such:
1.2, 2.3, 3.4, 5.6
You can do so by:
1. Copy (CTRL+C) the original data.
2. Select a cell where you want your new data to be inserted to.
3. Select the edit menu >Paste Special and check the Transpose tickbox. If you fancy shortcut combination keys, you can get there with ALT+E, S, ALT+E.
4. Mac os el capitan download. Voila, your new data will be pasted and transposed from vertical to horizontal.
Iso el capitan download. The same steps apply when you are trying to copy data laid out horizontally to be shown vertically.
