Remote Desktop Client v10.0.0 quickly pulled

Very soon after it was released, though, Microsoft suddenly pulled the app from Apple's App Store without any explanation.

From tests conducted by BleepingComputer, the app was pulled from the store in all regions, including the U.S., Germany, Japan, Australia, the UK, and others.

For it to be pulled so quickly, something must have been discovered that was or could cause major problems.

The only reported issue with this new version that BleepingComputer could find was a support topic created on Microsoft TechNet forums by a user from Japan. The user stated that a Japanese input problem still exists and with this release, third-party software keyboards no longer work.

'AND make matters worse, we cannot use 3rd party's software keyboard (for example Gboard by google) on this app(Remote Desktop) since updated to ver. 10.0.0.'

Another user from China posted to the same support topic about similar input bugs.

'Chinese user here! We can’t input Chinese with input methods on iPad directly too. To input Chinese, we can only use input methods on PC.'

BleepingComputer has reached out to Microsoft with questions as to why they pulled the app, but have not heard back as of yet.
